Learning and learning

Despite my busy-ness, I stay blessed to have opportunities to learn more from different contexts, which have been so enriching.

- I was on a medical school assessment as an observer. It was so fun and amazing to learn how its culture of discipline has shone to help the medical profession. Thai people need more discipline in some ways too ka.

- It gave me so much joy to discuss with a medical ajarn about the recent egroup note on the summary of, 'Managing Up' and it caught his attention right away. I shared it with him and I couldn't be happier to know there are a few out there who share common interest.

- Introducing coaching to international cooperation bureau of OHEC was a good start. It was a bit upsetting to hear from a university vice president that coaching would suit staff more than senior leaders when it should be the other way around mai ka?

- My friend gave me 'ขนมฝรั่งกุฎีจีน' (traditional soft cake??) and I shared one with my housekeeper (she's a real commentator) and said to her, 'This is a traditional recipe so it may not be your aroi way.' I then realized that I've set her expectation to understand the older-day context ka. Any comment made may be more relevant to skip talking about ingredients to be added while it could lead to some lively discussion about a little history of this cake, how it can be baked until today, how selling has to be changed, etc. It ignited my further thinking how contexts and expectations could be so closely linked and need to be highlighted in some situations too.

Little things mean a lot again and again ka.
